The new Automation Server (AS) allows you to implement both BACnet and LON interfaces on the same unit at the same time. You must choose one primary protocol (either BACnet or LON) and that protocol’s corresponding field bus supports the full scalability limits assigned to that protocol (e.g. up to 64 Lon FTT-10 devices or up to 50 BACnet MS/TP devices). The second protocol can be used to support a much smaller field bus – i.e. up to 10 devices.
