The Siemens 570‑00701 is a programmable BACnet fume‑hood controller (FHC) designed to control exhaust air dampers or venturi air valves in chemical‑fume‑hood ventilation systems.

It accepts inputs such as air‑velocity sensors, sash (window) position sensors and optional differential‑pressure or flow sensors; and produces outputs to control exhaust dampers (or actuators), analog flow signals (1–10 V DC), solenoid for auto‑zero, alarms, and other digital/analog outputs — enabling safe, automatic hood ventilation control with BACnet-based building automation integration.
