The Exceltec 20000 is a float‑type liquid‑level switch used to detect the level of liquid in a tank, sump or reservoir. It uses a buoyant float mechanism: as fluid level rises, the float moves up (or tilts), causing an internal micro‑switch contact to change state. Because it is described as “normally closed – pump UP,” under normal (low‑level or empty) condition the contact remains closed; when fluid rises to the set level, the contact opens — a signal often used to control a “pump up” logic (e.g., stop filling / start pump draining / trigger alarm)
