It is a “guard‑locking” interlock/safety switch: the guard remains locked closed while the machine is running, and only unlocks when the system is safely shut down / power is isolated.

It features three safety (normally‑closed) contacts plus two auxiliary contacts, enabling both door position monitoring and lock status feedback.

The device uses a robust solenoid‑locking mechanism with a maximum locking force of up to ~2000 N (≈ 450 lb), making it suitable for heavy-duty machine guarding.

It offers flexible installation: a rotatable head (up to 4 actuator entry positions), IP66/IP67/IP69K protection (good for dusty or wash‑down environments), and compliance with safety standards (e.g. EN 1088 / IEC 60947‑5‑1 / ISO 14119) for use in safety‑certified systems.
