It serves as a switch amplifier / isolator relay, designed for interfacing field sensors (e.g. NAMUR or other hazardous‑area devices) to standard control circuits.

The module accepts a hazardous‑area input and provides a safe, galvanically‑isolated relay output (change‑over contact), allowing the safe transmission of digital signals from zone‑rated environments to control/safety systems.

It is part of the series intended for explosion‑protected applications (intrinsic safety, Ex-approval), making it suitable for use in petrochemical, chemical, or other hazardous‑area environments where safety and isolation are required.
