ABB/GE MP0CAE3 is a surge suppressor/voltage suppressor diode block designed to protect DC contactor coils and control circuits by limiting high‑voltage spikes and reducing overvoltage peaks.

It is suitable for DC control voltages from ~6 V up to 240 V DC, plugs directly onto compatible MC1, MC2, and MCR DC contactor coils, and helps extend coil life by damping inductive transients.
